Virgin Australia Kununurra to Perth Boeing 737-700 Flight Review

Join Aussie JetSetter as he flies on what possibly could be the world’s longest regularly scheduled commercial intrastate flight in the world between the town of Kunununurra in Western Australia’s far north east Kimberley region to the state capital of Perth which is over 3,000km away by road and 3.5 hours in the air! And what better way to do it on one of Virgin Australia’s relatively rare ex KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 737-700 aircraft as we review how Virgin’s smaller Boeing 737 experience compares to it’s stalwart and larger 737-800 brother.

In the review I also offer my overall thoughts on what the Virgin Australia experience is like in 2024 and how the airline is performing as Australia’s hybrid airline of choice between that of low cost Jetstar and full service Qantas.

Whilst I am fairly confident this would qualify as the world’s longest intrastate regularly scheduled commercial passenger flight (i.e within the conventional definition of a state within a country) please do leave a comment if you agree or believe otherwise. It would be great to see a debate going on about this class of world’s longest flight!
