Join Aussie JetSetter for a comprehensive early summer evening walking tour of Australia’s most iconic Harbourside city which is Sydney!. Officially still the largest city in Australia (at least according to the ABS), Sydney is also the capital of the country’s largest state of New South Wales and recognized to be amongst the word’s truly global cities. In this walking tour I will show you my dedicated Summer evening walking itinerary for exploring all the best sights and sounds of Sydney!
In this walking tour I begin at Sydney Central Station along the southern boundaries of the CBD which is the busiest railway station in Australia before than continuing through the lively Haymarket and Chinatown districts before we take a walk through Sydney’s iconic Darling Harbour area which is known to offer great views of the Sydney CBD skyline and a wealth of dining, shopping, nightlife options as well as many of the city’s tourist attractions.
We then make our way over the historic Pyrmont Bridge and head into the heart of Sydney CBD venturing past the historic Queen Elizabeth Building and then on to busy Pitt Street and the vibrant shopping area of the Pitt Street Mall. We also have a look at Martin Place which is Australia’s premier financial district home of the Australian Reserve Bank and most of the country’s major banks. Later we continue to the northern reaches of Sydney’s CBD arriving at the city’s famous Circular Quay just before sunset where we lap up views of two of Australia’s national icons that being the Sydney Harbour Bridge and also the Sydney Opera House!
