Qantas resumes Canberra to Darwin Embraer E190 flights

In great news for travellers from the Nation’s capital of Australia its flagship carrier Qantas has resumed fights between the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory Capital Darwin. The four hour and 30 minute flight will be operated on behalf of Qantas by Alliance Airlines with their  Embraer 190 jets.

From June 9 2023 the flight will begin operated 5 days per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays with QF1983 the inbound flight from Darwin touching down in Canberra at 18:30 before the return evening flight arriving back into Darwin at 23:15

QantasLink’s Embraer E190’s might be old school but feature a surprisingly comfortable smaller 2-2 continued economy class cabin

QF1983 departs Darwin at 13:40 and touches down in Canberra at 18:30

QF1984, returning from Canberra at 19:10, landing back in Darwin at 23:15

Flights between Canberra and the Top End are not new last having been operated right up June 2021 before becoming victim to border closures caused by Covid 19.
