Join Aussie JetSetter for a comprehensive early summer evening walking tour of one of Australia’s most iconic cities whereby I will walk you through all the best sights, sounds and landmarks of Melbourne!

According to some although not all statistics Melbourne is now the largest city in Australia having recently overtaken its northern neighbour of Sydney! Melbourne which is the vibrant and bustling capital of the southern state of Victoria is generally considered to Australia’s cultural and sporting capital with a solid events filled calendar year round!

In this walking tour I begin on the northern end of Swanston Street which is one of the busiest thoroughfares in Melbourne’s CBD before proceeding to the city’s bustling Chinatown. I then proceed for a walk through the city’s premier shopping district which is the Bourke Street Mall before taking in some of the city’s most iconic streets such as Elizabeth and Collins streets. We then get back onto Swanston Street closer to the city’s CBD southern edge taking in views of the iconic Melbourne Town Hall and St Paul’s Cathedral before we reach the intersection of Swanston and Flinders Street for great views of the front entrance of Flinders Street Railway Station which is Melbourne’s busiest station and very much provides the backdrop to the cross roads of bustling Melbourne! We then take into the city’s iconic Federation Square which is the civic heart of Melbourne before heading over the Princes Bridge and then walking along the Flinders Walk which offers a wide range of bars and views of the Yarra River over to South bank .

We then continue to the Western edge of Melbourne’s CBD until we reach Southern Cross Railway Station having a look at Melbourne’s bustling regional and interstate train station. We then continue over to Melbourne’s gentrified Docklands precinct which includes Marvel Stadium and many recently built high rise developments. Finally, we walk through the lively south Wharf and South Bank precincts of Melbourne known for there dining and entertainment options and great views of Melbourne’s skyline before crossing back into Melbourne CBD checking out some neat little laneways and finishing up at the Birrarung Marr en-route to the Melbourne Park precinct!
