Stephen started AussieJetSetter in 2022 and at the age of just 29 has travelled extensively around the world totaling over 45 countries especially across Europe, North America, Asia, New Zealand in addition to all Australia’s state’s and territories. Through over a decade of budget conscious travel I have undertaken everything from backpacking and group tours throughout Europe  North America and South East Asia,  train travels in Germany, France, Spain, Canada, Japan and the USA and camping style road trips throughout the USA and Australia.  I have taken well over 100 flights across 20+ airlines and a handful of long-distance train journeys and road trips.

In more recent years I have been able to establish considerable success in accruing reward points for both of Australia’s large carriers. Starting from scratch and the perspective of an everyday income I have discovered that accruing points for meaningful flight redemptions isn’t as daunting as it might seem without having to make significant changes to spending habits.  With a prudent strategy of banking and converting reward points from a range of Australian retailers to Australia’s big 2 Frequent Flyer programs, redeeming them at the right time and for strategically right flights I have earned enough points to rarely pay for a domestic economy (and the occasional business class) flight within Australia in recent years.

Likewise, when I have paid for cash fares I have snagged some incredible deals including coast to coast flights for under $100 and not much more from Perth into South East Asia and once even a business class upgrade for a mere $100 cash!. More recently my points balances have been heavily bolstered with the occasional credit card sign up bonus pushing my balances upwards of 300,000 points and ready for some international business class redemptions that I hope to showcase soon!  I hope to document my future flight hacks success and where the best deals and redemptions are to be had for our readers!
