Join AussieJetSetter for a very special flight review as I take one of the small handful of fifth freedom flights operating Trans-Tasman between New Zealand and Australia on China Airline’s almost daily Auckland to Brisbane service which continues on to Taipei, Taiwan! During this 3.5 hour flight across the Tasman I get the chance to experience and review flying Trans-Tasman from a whole different perspective from what is currently the norm offered by the big 4 Australian and New Zealand airlines flying across the ditch.
In this review I seek to put China Airlines to the ultimate test to see whether the 4-5 star airline lives up to expectation about the airline being rated one of Asia’s best full service airlines and economy class products. I will assess everything from the ground handling experience, to the aircraft and seat condition, on board food and beverage offerings and of course value for money and ultimately wherever its worth your time and money giving China Airlines a try over your usual airlines flying Trans-Tasman in 2024 admits the backdrop of fierce competition on the route!
