Where is the Aspire Perth Airport Lounge Located?

The Aspire Perth Airport domestic lounge is located in Terminal 2 which predominately services Western Australia’s intrastate, mining and resources sector FIFO flights. Terminal 2 is located in a separate satellite building which is located a short 5 minute walk from Terminal 1 which services all international flights excluding Qantas and also with its dedicated domestic wing the majority of Virgin Australia services.

Conveniently this lounge located in Terminal 2 can be be readily accessed airside from T1 domestic without needing to go through security again thanks to a dedicated walkway. Allow approximately 5 minutes to walk between the terminals airside. This makes visiting the lounge for Virgin Australia interstate customers departing from T1 domestic with Priority Pass or through paid entry a breeze.

After security you’ll find the Aspire T2 Lounge in the left hand corner of the small terminal adjacent to the Alliance Airlines Lounge and behind the Relay store

Who Can Access the Aspire Perth Airport Lounge and When is it Open?

As with its international counterpart located in T1 both of Aspire’s lounges in Perth are general purpose and accessible to the public regardless of airline flown as long as you hold a valid outward boarding pass on the same day of travel.

This means there a number of pathways to accessing the lounge ranging from a 1 year membership of this particular lounge for $459 which entitles 12 fully inclusive visits and if necessary subsequent visits attracting 23% off the visit fee. Alternatively walk up rates start from $24 or $22 if boked online. Aspire are however offering access at half price for $12 walk up or through an impressive promotion on the Perth Airport website for just $11. The catch however here is that alcoholic beverages are not included at this price however can be added for an additional $22. Regardless of whether you add the extra package the half price promotion is definitely quite impressive. Whilst this promotion is running it is probably not cost effective to purchase paid up membership.

Head to the Perth Airport website to snag a bargain on lounge entry for your next flight from T2/T1 Domestic at Perth Airport!

Alternatively this lounge also accepts Priority Pass and Lounge Key members under the standard terms of those programs.

For those intending to visit the Aspire Lounge do take note of its current opening hours which might not be as expansive as you you would think. The lounge is not open on weekends at all and between Monday and Friday only between the hours of 4am-8am and 11.30am-3.30pm so check carefully that your flight times allow a visit to this lounge first..

In summing up you can access the Aspire Lounge T2 through the following methods:

Aspire Lounge Members

Paid Lounge access (either online or at the door)

Priority Pass Members

Lounge Key Members

Lounge Design and Seating

The Aspire Lounge at Terminal 2 is a rather compact yet stylish lounge very much suited to the predominate clientele that the terminal services. Whilst the lounge isn’t very big there is plenty of comfortable arm chair style seating and also sit up benches with stools to sit on. The aesthetics of the lounge are stylish with some nice earthly art work design helping to reflect the rugged West Australian Pilbara region. Natural lightning does come through the lounge due to its outside views which are however more presenting of the terminal forecourt rather than any real tarmac and runway action.

Food and Beverage

Self Service Food

The Aspire lounge has a a single self service buffet which at our very early visit time of 4.30am wasn’t fully set up yet. Classic continental breakfast items were available in addition to tea and coffee and juices. A few hot breakfast items were being prepared at our time of visit as well. More substantial options are available closer to lunch time.

Self Service Drinks

At our time of visit very early in the morning drink selections were pretty much limited to water, tea, coffee and juices although soft drinks and a selection of alcoholic beverages including Western Australian wines and beers and available later in the day. Take note of your entry type though as the base level single entry fee requires an extra supplement of $22 to access alcoholic beverages when it is available.

Service and Staff

As this is a rather small lounge at our time of visit there appeared to be just the one member of staff who would check in guests to the lounge at the reception and also set up and replenish the buffet. Service was efficient albeit interaction was understandably limited at such an early hour.

Lounge Amenities

The Aspire Lounge at Terminal 2 has a range of amenities well suited to the typical clientele transversing through the terminal. Free and fast wifi is available with quite impressive download speeds. Power points are also frequently found in the lounge making charging your devices before a flight a breeze although do bring a wall charger . There is even a dedicated charging station where you will find wireless charging capabilities. Perhaps one slight inconvenience is that there is no dedicated bathroom facilities in the lounge meaning that there is no shower rooms either. You’ll have to duck outside for bathrooms which are located very close by.

Wireless phone charging is available at the Aspire PerthT2 lounge which is a nice modern addition to this rather new lounge.

Summing Up

Overall the Aspire Lounge at Perth Airport Terminal 2 is well worth a visit whether you are a casual traveler or perhaps a frequent commuter up to the mines in West Australia’s Pilbara and Goldfields regions. With very completive walk up entry fees which are currently half price or even cheaper online it is very easy getting your money’s worth with this lounge if you were already going to have a bite to eat and perhaps a coffee before your flight. Factor in that it may cost significantly more to access alcohol when its available and desired depending on your entry method although the extra $22 is still quite reaosnable in our opinion.

Comfortable seating and stylish furniture in the lounge will definitely make waiting for that flight more comfortable in which is otherwise a rather un-interesting regional focused terminal. Facilities are somewhat more limited compared to the Qantas and Virgin Lounges at Perth Airport Being accessible with Priority Pass and Lounge Key also makes this lounge well worth visiting if flying with Virgin Australia from the neighboring Terminal 1 and might often be overlooked as an option by those not realizing that T1 Domestic and T2 are connected airside. If however you do already have access to the Virgin Australia Lounge its better to stick with that one in our opinion due to the more extensive food and beverage options and better amenities.
